Allimax is the result of a patented process and is the first garlic in the world to contain real bioactive, stabilized allicin in each capsule. Allimax is made in the same way allicin from fresh garlic is formed but a special flood reaction system using only water is able to produce large quantities of stable allicin. The liquid is then carefully dried, under controlled conditions, to maintain its potency. There is no smell or aftertaste.
Allicin is not found in fresh garlic. Fresh garlic contains an enzyme called “allinase” and “alliin”, which are contained in different parts of garlic. Allicin results when allinase interacts with alliin. Since allicin deteriorates very quickly, Allicin powder extract is the only way to get a stable and standardized amount of allicin.
